Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an organized Accounting Clerk in Newton, Kansas, United States. This role is within the telecom industry and involves the processing and maintenance of customer credit applications and records, as well as monitoring customer credit accounts.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain precise records of customer credit
• Resolve customer inquiries related to credit
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions for delinquent payments
• Perform data entry for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Process credit card transactions through online portals
• Maintain reconciliations for vendors, jobs, and accounts
• Utilize Excel for tasks such as pivot tables, Macros, and V-Lookups
• Work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
• Utilize knowledge of Accounts Receivable concepts, practices, and procedures
• Utilize database and spreadsheet software, such as MySQL, for certain tasks. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role within the financial sector
• Proficiency in the use of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) systems
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
• Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• High level of accuracy and efficiency
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be advantageous
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
