Robert Half HR Generalist in Newton, Massachusetts

Description We are seeking an HR Generalist for a role based in Newton, Massachusetts. The HR Generalist will be responsible for creating and maintaining a collection of documents that outline HR policies, procedures, and guidelines essential for the smooth operation of our workplace. This opportunity offers a short term contract employment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a collection of documents including HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure an efficient workplace.

• Utilize ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode, Ceridian, and Dayforce for various HR functions.

• Manage and maintain accurate employee records in accordance with company standards.

• Respond to and resolve employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

• Monitor employee relations and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

• Utilize communication skills to effectively convey policy updates to employees.

• Implement FMLA and other benefit functions as per company policy.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.

• Adapt and maintain the employee handbook, adhering to the model adopted from a legal office. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar HR Generalist role

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Familiarity with Ceridian and Dayforce software

• Knowledge of Benefit Functions in HR context

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Understanding of compliance requirements within HR

• Proven experience in managing Employee Relations

• Familiarity with FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) provisions and applications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.) is a plus

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
