Robert Half Bookkeeper in NEWTOWN, Pennsylvania

Description If you're a bookkeeper seeking a full-time employment role in the Training & Development industry, Robert Half has an opening with one of their clients. We are in need of organized and self-driven accounting professionals for a new Bookkeeper position. You will thrive in this role if you are able to work with minimal supervision under tight deadlines. The accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation will need to be regulated in this Bookkeeper role. As well, the Bookkeeper will stay on top of a general ledger reconciliation, perform data entry, light journal entries, cash applications, and full cycle A/P coding. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Newtown, Pennsylvania area and will be a full-time position. Act now and submit an application today!

Your responsibilities

  • Look after general ledger

  • Formulate monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Handle monthly accounting close

  • Familiar with Accounts Receivable

  • Supplementary assignments when necessary

  • Set up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Knowledgeable in credit card management and reconciliation

  • Arrange cash flow projections, as needed

  • Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Update Accounts Payable Requirements - Notable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

    • The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
  • 3+ years of related experience- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

    • Strong communication and social skills

    • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

    • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

    • Command of expense reports

    • Office supply and equipment ordering experience

    • Demonstrated knowledge of Answering Multi-Line Phone System

    • Paychex Payroll experience highly preferred

    • Practical knowledge of customer invoices

    • Strong familiarity with commissions accounting

    • Adeptness in filing

    • General familiarity with bank reconciliations

    • Background working with QuickBooks

    • Experience with Scanning Documents

    • Comprehensive knowledge of Expense Reporting

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

    • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

    • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
