Description
Our client, a highly stable not-for profit organization located in the Philadelphia Suburbs, has an immediate opening for a Director of Finance with a non-profit background. This candidate will drive the daily financial operations and financial planning for the organization while maintaining constant awareness of possible risks and investments. As the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for cash management, pension payroll, investment maintenance, contributions, tax filings, forecasting cash flow, and preparing the operating budget. The ideal candidate will also assess the organization’s financial performance and financial controls, providing guidance for profitability and long-term success.
Major Responsibilities
Plan and manage financial strategy
Develop key financial models
Monitor investment activities and compliance
Provide financial analysis
Build strong banking relationships
Budgeting & Forecasting
Prepare financial reports and statements
Manage company cash flows
Tax Compliance
Provide cost benefit analysis
Oversee quarterly, monthly, annual audit process
Perform financial research as needed
Requirements
The ideal Director of Finance will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Director of Finance role include and are not limited to:
10+ years’ experience as a Director of Finance or similar
CPA or MBA preferred
Strong financial reporting and analysis experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
