Description
Jenny Bour at Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Buyer! The Buyer will be responsible for researching new vendors, products, and services and negotiating contracts for the best price and value. This may be the role for you if you are an experience buyer with excellent communication, inventory management and analytical skills! This is a permanent opportunity in the Niagara Falls, NY area.
How you will make an impact
Engage with staff and other stakeholders at meetings
Review price and quality of potential products, vendors, and services in order to get the best deal
Discuss and negotiate contracts with clients and vendors
Visit exhibitions, shows, and events in order to view new products and network with vendors
Revise records of purchased products
Inspect purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely
Maintain inventory and refill stock as necessary
Work with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received on time
Perform cost analyses and write reports on purchases made
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree is required
3-5+ years of experience working in buying/purchasing
Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills
Excellent organizational skills
