Description

We are looking for a hands-on Controller to join our team based in the Lexington, Kentucky area. This role is central to our operations within the construction industry, overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance. This position is integral to maintaining accurate financial reporting and supporting our company's growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning

• Manage the accounting department to ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management and stakeholders

• Monitor and manage costs, conduct financial analysis, and provide recommendations for cost reduction and operational efficiency

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and standards, including tax filings and audits

• Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting

• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

• Manage project accounting, including job costing, progress billing, and financial tracking of construction projects

• Maintain and improve financial systems and software to support accounting functions and reporting requirements

• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.

• Knowledge and experience with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Proficient in executing Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary.

• Knowledge of Budget Processes is required.

• Must be proficient in Financial Reporting.

• Experience with Month End Close is necessary.
