Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Assistant to join our team in NOBLESVILLE, Indiana. In this role, you will be instrumental in handling our financial records, including managing accounts payable and receivable for multiple entities. As an Accounting Assistant, your primary duties will revolve around managing invoices, resolving vendor discrepancies, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Handle full cycle Accounts Payable tasks including invoice input, aiding with freight invoices, and performing three-way match checks

• Oversee Accounts Receivable tasks such as posting Cash Apps, reconciling, and downloading information from bank accounts - note, collections are managed by a separate team

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications with efficiency

• Utilize AS400 software for various accounting functions and Microsoft Excel for basic data entry tasks

• Demonstrate good customer service by occasionally reaching out to vendors to resolve issues or discrepancies

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status

• Show problem-solving skills by researching and resolving any discrepancies or issues that arise. Requirements • Possess a minimum of one year of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in executing Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations

• Knowledge of using AS400 accounting software

• Holds a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
