ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER - Growth Oriented Construction Services Company in Norcross

My client, a well-established construction services company in the Norcross area, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team for an immediate, direct-hire opportunity. The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the processing and reconciling of invoices and supervise the Accounts Payable clerks within the Accounting Department. The Accounts Payable Manager will forward information and assign daily tasks to the Accounts Payable Clerks and purchasers, as needed, to assist in resolving open issues. The Accounts Payable Manager will manage established processes to guide the activities of the Accounts Payable Clerks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5+ years experience in Accounts Payable with 2+ years as a manager to join a well established company.

What You'll Do Every Day:

  • Reimburse employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances.

  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.

  • Manage staff of 2-7 AP Clerks and train new employees in Accounts Payable procedures

  • Resolves complex issues within the department

  • Resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation; ensuring credit is received for outstanding memos; issuing purchase order amendments.

  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Accounts Payable Experience

  • 2+ years of Accounts Payable Manager experience

  • Job Costing experience preferred

  • Customer Service - Maintain a positive and helpful attitude with internal and external customers. Contacting external customers regarding delayed payments and communicate with internal CFP customers for additional insight and assistance in resolution.

  • Functional experience using Microsoft Excel and other in-house systems for documentation, research and reporting.

  • Able to review documentation from previous calls and customer bills to help.

  • Self-Starter – Must be able to work independently, reliably, and accurately.
