ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE LEAD - Healthcare Company in Gwinnett County

My client, a well known and respected healthcare company in Gwinnett, is searching for an Accounts Receivable Lead to join their team for an immediate, direct hire opportunity. The Accounts Receivable Lead will be responsible for overseeing the company's credit and collections, accounts receivable, and cash positioning. This is a growth-oriented role with opportunity to transition into a supervisory role in the near future. What You Will Get To Do Every Day:

  • Oversee the work of the Accounts Receivable Staff

  • Ensure the accounting function meets processing and month-end closing goals

  • Oversee the posting of cash receipts, depositing checks, initiating wires, and the direct processing of complex customer deductions and employee expense reports, including daily data entry into ERP system, document filing, and heavy communication with customers, customer service and internal users

  • Research and process customer deductions, and help with Accounts Receivable Staff questions and training

  • Perform month-end accruals and reconcile various balance sheet accounts including, but not limited to bad-debt, deduction accrual and cash discounts

  • Apply debit memo deductions for customers and research short payments and deductions

  • Establish and document procedures for Accounts Receivable Best Practices

  • Advise customers of delinquent accounts, and conduct necessary follow-up to obtain payments

  • Remove obstacles for the process team, and when needed, escalate issues as necessary

  • Proactively propose improvements to the process area

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 5+ years experience in a Team Leader or Supervisor role

  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel

  • Experience with SAP ERP System

  • Experience with expense reporting system (Concur) preferred

  • Exceptional critical-thinking ability to analyze problems and make informed decisions

  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain a high level of productivity under pressure
