Primary Function of Position:

The Audio/Visual and Event Management Support Technician serves as the primary point of contact for all audio-visual operational support and event/meeting support needs. This role provides technical assistance to both internal and external clients, ensuring seamless operation of AV, IT networking, Unified Communications, and Telepresence equipment and systems within corporate and event environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Interface with ISI employees to support corporate events and meetings.

  • Provide exemplary support for events and meetings, ensuring a white-glove experience.

  • Supervise Tier I support personnel, providing guidance on policy, procedures, and ticket escalations.

  • Develop and maintain shared knowledge resources for Tier I personnel.

  • Collaborate with vendors and colleagues to enhance processes and disseminate information.

  • Support local IT service desk with user issues related to meetings and events.

  • Provide IT service, AV, and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) support for local and remote meetings or events.

  • Coordinate with vendors for new construction related to AV infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV and video conferencing technology.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and internal customers.

  • Manage tickets and calendar assignments for meeting support.

  • Assist Enterprise AV team as needed during available time.

  • Coordinate system and part installation, repair, and maintenance with vendors or manufacturer teams.

    Requirements

Skill/Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum five years of experience supporting Audio Visual hardware and software.

  • Minimum five years of experience supporting Meeting Support and Events using tools such as Zoom, Cisco WebEx, etc.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Experience training and mentoring IT Support personnel.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Experience with meeting collaboration software and systems (Zoom, Poly, Logi, Neat).

  • Ability to interpret technical documents and solve practical problems.

  • Occasional lifting of 50+ lbs may be required.

  • Knowledge of Unified Communications and Telepresence Systems desired.

  • Experience supporting Windows, Apple hardware, and OS.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Office365 platform.

  • Proficiency in IT Service Management tools (ServiceNow, Remedy).

  • Knowledge of networking, remote access, and business applications.

  • Experience supporting Dell, HP, and Apple devices.

  • Willingness to participate in weekend/on-call support rotation and occasional travel.
