My client, a software and technology company in Norcross, is searching for a Payroll Manager to join their team for an immediate, direct hire opportunity. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supervising all payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time and accurate while in compliance with government regulations. POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and assign duties to the payroll team

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the department.

  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.

  • Process semi monthly payroll including salary, hourly, salary non-exempt and commission employees.

  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.

  • Manage and resolve any issues related to payroll.

  • Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.

  • Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources and accounting teams.

  • Migrate new acquisition payrolls onto current parent company payroll platforms.

  • Maintain Employee Stock Purchase Deduction and tax processing.

  • Manage 401(k) deductions and uploads into 401K provider.

  • Register and maintain Withholding and Unemployment tax accounts for all applicable states.

  • Perform ad hoc duties as necessary.

    Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.

  • 3+ years of related experience required.

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

  • Proficient with payroll software (preferably Paycom).
