The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for the oversight of all accounting, resident billing, financial reporting, and bond/lender compliance functions in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations, bond/lender agreements, and current long-term care industry standards and guidelines.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on issues affecting the organization; i.e., evaluation of potential expansion, significant contract negotiations, etc.
Provide strategic financial input and leadership on issues affecting the organization; i.e., operating and capital budgets, policy development, development/expansion, contract negotiations, etc.
Oversee accounting operations to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Optimize handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Advise on long range planning, introduction of new programs, Medicare and insurance cost and reimbursement strategies, and regulatory interaction.
