Robert Half Collections Accounting Manager in Norfolk, Virginia
Description
We are in the process of hiring an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Norfolk, Virginia. In this role, you will be expected to oversee the accounting functions, specifically in the area of Accounts Receivable (AR), manage billing functions, and oversee cash activity and collection processes. You will also be working with Accounting Software Systems.
Responsibilities:
• Supervising and managing all accounts receivable functions
• Overseeing and streamlining billing and collections processes
• Managing cash activity and ensuring accurate recording of revenue
• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
• Handling customer credit inquiries and resolving any issues promptly
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems to maintain accurate customer credit records
• Implementing and managing ERP Solutions, for efficient financial management
• Developing strategies for improving collection processes and ensuring consistent cash flow
• Collaborating with other departments to integrate and improve the overall accounting functions.
Requirements

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledgeable about Billing Functions
• Ability to manage Cash Activity
• Knowledgeable in Collection Processes
• Experience in Collections management
• Able to supervise and manage a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven leadership skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
