Robert Half Director of Financial Analysis and Reporting in Norfolk, Virginia
Description
The Director position works closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in support
of all aspects of financial reporting and analysis; assisting with the formulation of internal controls
and policies to comply with company policy, regulatory and accounting guidelines and established
best practices and assisting in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with guidelines
and requirements.
Essential Functions
Assist CFO in developing processes and reporting infrastructure to meet reporting
requirements for combined company views, including consolidated financial statement
results and KPIs as needed by investor group and stakeholders
Work closely w/ CFO and Contract Management team to understand, analyze, and
report customer/job/project results to senior management
Assist with the implementation of enterprise level software systems (UKG and NetSuite)
including set-up of financial reporting and internal controls
Support projects related to annual financial statement, 401k plan and workers
compensation insurance review/audit
Support projects related to external compliance reviews
Assist with financial due diligence and integration around acquisitions
Manage treasury functions for CFO to include credit card program, credit
agreement requirements, and weekly cash flow forecasting
Assist in tracking budget and return on investment related to capital expenditures
Assist with weekly reporting of profit and loss, including estimated revenues and EBITDA
Support CFO with preparation of annual operating budget, quarterly forecasts and
budget to actual analysis
Compile special reports and participate in special projects as assigned
Experience Requirements
10+ years of progressive experience with financial reporting
Working knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Internal control assessment, systems integration experience a plus
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting finance or related field; Master’s degree a plus
CPA required
Skills and Abilities
Proven knowledge of accounting and financial processes (transactional, reporting, close,
etc)
Data analysis and forecasting
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint)
Attention to detail and quality of work product
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Accountable to assignments and deadlines
Able to multi-task in fast-paced environment
