Robert Half Finance & Accounting Manager in Norfolk, Virginia

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team. This role involves a blend of finance and HR duties, requiring the utilization of a wide range of skills. You will be deeply involved in the financial management, HR functions, stakeholder management, and compliance and statutory reporting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with recruitment processes and prepare employment contracts.

• Oversee the onboarding and off-boarding process for staff members.

• Manage payroll functions and resolve HR matters.

• Review labor/material expenditures costs and provide project reports.

• Collaborate with production teams for resource planning and inventory management.

• Oversee inventory allocation to projects and documentation of cost of goods.

• Supervise the accounts payable function and manage purchase orders.

• Conduct bank reconciliations and payroll including defined benefit plans.

• Prepare general ledger reconciliations, monthly balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements.

• Assist with the preparation and review of financial reports and forecasts.

• Manage statutory lodgments including sales tax, payroll tax, and others.

• Oversee insurance requirements including workers compensation.

• Collaborate with external consultants and accountants as required.

• Support the implementation of new systems and processes.

• Assist with investor reporting and other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting management

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential

• Experience with Concur is required

• Must have knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with various Accounting Functions is necessary

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Auditing skills are necessary

• Must be able to handle Billing Functions efficiently

• Must hold Business experience, preferably at an international level

• International Experience is highly desirable

• Experience in Global Manufacturing is beneficial

• Must have strong Relationship Building skills

• Experience in Direct Supervision is necessary

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Must hold relevant Degrees and Experiences in the field of finance and accounting.

• CPA designation highly preferred.
