Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Norfolk, Virginia. This role will be key in driving departmental initiatives, handling complex tasks, and assisting with the training and development of operations analysts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for account setup, performance reconciliation, and transaction entry. You will also be interacting with custodians to resolve discrepancies and executing monthly and quarterly standardized reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the lead expert for the Operations team, providing guidance and solutions.
Lead departmental initiatives and communicate issues and risks to management.
Own key operational processes to ensure efficiency.
Train and mentor Operations Analysts.
Share expertise and promote team knowledge growth.
Handle complex tasks and time-sensitive escalations.
Perform manual account and performance reconciliation.
Execute standard transactions and processes.
Set up and maintain accounts in portfolio accounting systems.
Monitor and record client alternative investments.
Resolve discrepancies with custodians and maintain positive relationships.
Assist with daily activities and ad hoc requests.
Execute monthly and quarterly reporting.
Assist with data aggregation setup.
Manage account closing and client offboarding processes.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• In-depth understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in Expense Reporting
• Strong knowledge of Finance
• Proficiency in Wealth Management
• Ability to carry out Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Financial Reporting
• Excellent Customer Service skills
