Robert Half Fiscal Technician in Norfolk, Virginia
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Fiscal Technician in Norfolk, Virginia. This role is within the non-profit industry and will involve a variety of tasks including customer service, administration, and data management. The workplace will be customer-facing, involving regular interaction with clients and the use of software systems for data management.
Responsibilities:
• Managing and adding families to the waiting list for child care services
• Accurately entering and updating customer data and payment information
• Processing and recording customer payments in a timely manner
• Conducting research on payment transactions as needed
• Carrying out reconciliations of payment activity to ensure accuracy
• Delivering superior customer service by resolving customer inquiries efficiently
• Assisting in the administration of the child care operation
• Utilizing ERP software, Brightwheel, for various data and file management tasks (training provided)
• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of customer credit records
• Promptly addressing and resolving any discrepancies or issues in customer accounts. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a fiscal or financial role
• Proficiency in reconciliations
• Strong customer service skills
• Experience with filing and organization of financial documents
• Excellent data entry skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
• Previous experience in payment processing
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a degree in finance or related field is preferred
• Comfortable in a non-profit environment
• Proficiency in standard office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative.
