Robert Half HRIS Data Specialist in Norfolk, Virginia

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an HR Coordinator in the healthcare industry, specifically located in Norfolk, Virginia. The role involves maintaining the highest level of HRIS data integrity, processing employment information, auditing for accuracy and quality, and developing policy and procedure documentation for HRIS.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring the highest level of HRIS data integrity while processing employment information and related data maintenance.

• Auditing information received with the goal of accuracy and quality, and disseminating accurate information.

• Understanding and reviewing data transactions flow from applicant tracking system and other sources for accuracy and timely actions.

• Ensuring internal procedures are followed, maintained and aligned with HR and HR systems requirements.

• Contributes to the development of policy and procedure documentation for HRIS.

• Creating statistical reports using the HRIS system and reporting tool.

• Maintaining all data pertaining to employee records (new hires, transfers, promotions, demotions, personal information, etc.)

• Maintaining a strong understanding of data relationships and the impact they have especially for payroll, benefits, reporting, etc.

• Tracking and auditing required education, licensure, and certifications.

• Supporting the integrity of employee records, assuring legal and regulatory compliance.

• Developing custom reports and metrics to meet the needs of the HR department and other users.

• Analyzing related processes to recommend improvement opportunities to achieve operational excellence.

• Documenting and maintaining HRIS Data Specialist procedures and guidelines.

• Communicating effectively and professionally with all levels of management and employees.

• Exercising discretion with highly confidential information.

• Providing end user support, and furnishing ad hoc and production reports as necessary.

• Analyzing and ensuring data integrity using effective audit tools and practices.

• Managing both day-to-day duties and project work with the ability to plan and meet required deadlines. Requirements • A minimum of one year of experience in an HR Coordinator role or similar within the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Proficient in HRIS - Human Resources Information Systems, including HRIS database and reporting

• Demonstrated experience in handling Benefit Functions and Compensation Administration

• Strong knowledge and understanding of Compliance within the HR domain

• Familiarity with Licensure procedures and regulations in the Healthcare/NHS industry

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approach

• Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
