Description We are seeking an IT Specialist II to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia, working in the non-profit sector. This role involves providing end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining the network infrastructure. The job function is a contract to hire employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain network-based camera systems, ensuring their proper integration with existing infrastructure.
• Support and troubleshoot point-of-sale (POS) systems, including both hardware and software components, to ensure smooth transactions and operations.
• Perform wiring installation, maintenance, and testing for network and communication systems, adhering to industry standards.
• Utilize ServiceNow or other similar ticketing systems to track, manage, and resolve IT support requests promptly.
• Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of multifunction printers and other enterprise printing solutions to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, procedures, and support requests, ensuring all documentation is clear, accurate, and up-to-date.
• Provide exceptional customer service in a client-facing role, delivering solutions that meet or exceed end-user expectations. Requirements • Must have extensive knowledge and experience with Cisco Technologies.
• Proficiency in Citrix Technologies is a key requirement.
• Should possess strong skills in Computer Hardware.
• Experience with Database management and operations.
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies is necessary for this role.
• Must have experience with Active Directory.
• Should be able to work with Apple Devices.
• Knowledge and experience with Backup Technologies are essential.
• Must have experience in Configuration Management.
• Ability to work within the non-profit industry.
• Previous experience in a similar IT Specialist role would be advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
