Other responsibilities include internal reporting during the monthly close, participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes. How you will make an impact

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Prepare analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management to report on

• Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

• Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

• Partake in various department-wide initiatives

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

Requirements

• Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Adjusting Entries experience

• Perform Month-end experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Entries

• General familiarity with Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Demonstrated knowledge of Month-end Close Activities

• Practical knowledge of year end closings

• Accounting Principles experience

• Adeptness in Month-end Reports

• Ad Hoc Reporting experience

• Year-end Reporting experience highly preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

• Spreadsheet and database capabilities

• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

• Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Detailed and have the ability work independently

• Experience with ERP systems
