Description

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Assistant to be a part of our team near Rutherford, New Jersey. This role involves various tasks such as data processing, air freight management, and customer service in the fast-paced freight forwarding industry. This opportunity offers a contract to hire employment arrangement.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the process of air nomination reporting following successful business engagements

• Assist in obtaining and providing proof of delivery to clients after shipment delivery

• Execute Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) entries, prior knowledge of EDI is advantageous but not a requirement as training will be provided

• Submit booking requests to clients, secure approval, and revert to the origin

• Provide support in generating quotations

• Coordinate with vendors – truckers, warehouse personnel for efficient sourcing

• Manage and execute cost-related tasks.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Data Processing and Data Entry.

• Proven ability to handle and manage Freight Forwarding tasks, including Air Freight, Freight Quotes, and International Freight.

• Experience in answering inbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

• Proficiency with computer systems and applications, including MS Office Suite.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

• Proven track record of reliability and punctuality.

• Flexibility to work in different shifts and extended hours if required.
