Description

Robert Half is looking for an outstanding Financial Analyst to join a fast-growing company. In this Financial Analyst role, you will conduct financial modeling on a range of financial products and measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans. Additional duties include advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. You will be a part of a dynamic team being a key business partner in areas such as forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. In this Financial Analyst position, your duties will aim to support world class strategic and financial planning methods, build long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Additionally, you will assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. This Financial Analyst role, which is located in the North Dallas, Texas, is a permanent employment opportunity.

Major responsibilities

  • Flexible individuals comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

  • Work with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Look over performance to date while assessing potential opportunities and risks

  • Understand and explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly

  • Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

  • Work on monthly and quarterly financial close processes in collaboration with the Accounting team

  • Execute and monitor forecasting reports

  • Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting

    Requirements - Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

  • Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferential)

  • Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills

  • Foundational knowledge in Ad Hoc Reporting

  • Deep understanding of Data Analysis

  • Command of KPI Reporting

  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial reporting

  • 5+ years of experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
