Robert Half Benefits Administrator in North Kingstown, Rhode Island

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Benefits Administrator in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in our team, handling tasks related to employee benefits and onboarding. This role is deeply embedded in the administrative and operational aspects of our business.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and administer employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with legal requirements

• Conduct benefits orientations and explain the benefits self-enrollment system

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of benefit functions and industry trends

• Regularly review the benefits programs and suggest modifications as needed

• Handle benefits inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable, and courteous resolution

• Maintain contact with employees and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits

• Coordinate benefits processing with payroll

• Assist with the onboarding process for new hires

• Maintain employee benefits records in accordance with privacy regulations and company policies

• Coordinate with insurance providers and other benefits vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Prior experience in benefits administration or related field

• Familiarity with benefit functions such as health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs

• Understanding of onboarding process and its importance in employee experience

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively explain benefits to employees

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality

• Proficiency in using human resource information systems (HRIS)

• Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding benefits administration

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred

• Professional certification in benefits or human resources is a plus.
