Overview:

As a Manufacturing Controller, you will oversee all financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. Working closely with the CFO and operational teams, you will drive financial performance, optimize costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional analytical skills and a passion for driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models for manufacturing operations.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Cost Management:

Monitor and control manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.

Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to maximize profitability.

Conduct regular cost reviews and variance analysis to identify areas for cost reduction.

Inventory Management:

Oversee inventory control processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize carrying costs.

Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation and reporting.

Implement inventory tracking systems and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including P& L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.

Collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies to support financial audits and reviews.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Partner with operational teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making across the organization.

Collaborate with the CFO and executive team to develop and execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and inventory management.

Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management software.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and drive results through collaboration and innovation.

Requirements - Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • Skilled in the construction and delivery of effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Proficiency in Analyze Financial Statements

  • Proven knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

  • Experience with financial statement preparation

  • Knowledge of Controllership Functions

  • Practical knowledge of financial analysis

  • Controllership experience desired

  • General familiarity with Complex Financial Analysis

  • Well-founded grasp of Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

  • Financial Statement experience preferred

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired

  • Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
