Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas. This role is integral to our team, with responsibilities including the review and entry of vendor information, handling payments, account reconciliation, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct a thorough review of accounts payable invoices, ensuring correct assignment of vendor numbers and accounting codes.
• Enter and verify vendor information in the accounting software system, ensuring accurate data entry.
• Issue payments to vendors as per approved guidelines.
• Handle routine monthly payments, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
• Respond to vendor inquiries, conducting account research as needed.
• Generate monthly reports to aid management in decision making.
• Prepare monthly inventory control reports to track and manage resources.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Adhere to established accounting policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties and tasks as requested, contributing to the smooth functioning of the accounting department. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an Accounting Clerk
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience in managing vendor relationships
• Ability to accurately enter vendor invoices
• Expertise in account reconciliation
• Experience in inventory tracking
• Knowledge in processing purchase orders
• Experience in shipping and receiving procedures
• Proficiency in using ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning software
