Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director in North Venice, Florida
Description We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director to join our team in the construction/contractor industry, based in North Venice, Florida. This role centers around managing payroll processes for a large team, maintaining accurate records, and providing efficient solutions for payroll-related inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Manage payroll for a large team, maintaining precise records for each employee
• Process data entry tasks related to payroll, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of W-2s and 1099s
• Collect and process timecards from employees, ensuring all hours are accurately logged and compensated
• Utilize Vista Viewpoint and other relevant software to streamline payroll processes
• Monitor and update customer credit applications as necessary
• Maintain accurate customer credit records, updating information as needed
• Resolve customer inquiries related to payroll in a timely and efficient manner
• Work closely with the Controller, providing necessary reports and updates. Requirements • Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now
• Familiarity with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode
• Experience with Ceridian and Crystal Reports
• Knowledge of 401k - RRSP Administration and About Time
• Expertise in Accounting Functions and Auditing
• Understanding of Benefit Functions
• Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the construction or contracting industry
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage and lead the payroll department to achieve expected results
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
