This PATIENT REGISTRATION SPECIALIST will be working onsite and candidate must be within a commutable distance to various office locations within the area. In addition, this PATIENT REGISTRATION SPECIALIST will be required to work a daytime schedule and there may be evenings and Saturday shifts, too. Flexibility working these different shifts is required.

DUTIES

Assist with the check in and check out process for all patients

Answer all inbound phone calls and communicate with patients regarding any healthcare-related customer service needs

Schedule patient appointments for various procedures, doctor appointments, testing and other medical-related visits

Make outbound calls when necessary to follow up with patients regarding appointments

Update and verify all patient demographics information in computer database

Obtain insurance information and update provider information

Contact insurance companies for verification of benefit eligibility and prior authorizations

Collect copayments when necessary

Additional administrative tasks as needed

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

1+ years' experience in Patient Registration or Medical Administrative roles

Prior industry experience in Healthcare or Medical highly preferred!

Ideal candidate should be reliable and maintain good attendance

Understanding of providing excellent customer service to all patients, family members and internal staff

Proficient Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Strong organizational skills; strong written and verbal communication skills

Ideally be able to work within a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly change

Strong understanding of prioritizing tasks and understanding of having an excellent follow-up

Adept at respecting other individuals and adhere to company and state regulations
