Robert Half Finance Assistant in Northbrook, Illinois
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Finance Assistant in the non-profit industry, located in Northbrook, Illinois. The role involves assisting our finance team with data entry tasks and requires some knowledge of QuickBooks. The job function will be carried out in our office from Tuesday to Thursday.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate data entry for financial transactions
• Aid in the processing of receipts
• Conduct vendor invoice entry and handle other disbursement requests
• Facilitate the processing of disbursement checks
• Utilize QuickBooks for various financial tasks
• Carry out additional duties as necessary
• Oversee coding of invoices
• Manage disbursement activities
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records Requirements • Must have prior experience in a finance role within a non-profit organization
• Proficient in coding invoices and managing disbursement
• Strong skills in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records
• Experience in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and adherence to ethical standards
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
• Knowledge of non-profit financial regulations and standards is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
