Robert Half Senior Accountant in Northbrook, Illinois

Description

Excellent Senior Accountant role with company in growth mode. This role is integral to our team, focusing on the management of day-to-day accounting functions in our rapidly expanding company. In this Senior Accountant, you will be involved in various aspects of accounting, from processing financial information to assisting with new initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of month-end accounting entries across diverse areas.

• Ensure balance sheet accounts are maintained and reconciled during the close process.

• Utilize the company’s Microsoft Dynamics general ledger system, PN3 accounts payable system, and ADP payroll system effectively.

• Generate detailed reports and analysis at month end to share results with the operating practices.

• Collaborate closely with different operating practices, understanding their unique operating characteristics.

• Communicate effectively with Revenue Cycle, Accounts Payable, and Payroll departments to gather and process data.

• Provide assistance in special projects or issues as they arise.

• Assist in preparing working papers for external auditors and tax return preparers.

• Contribute to the accounting for new acquisitions and finalization of purchase accounting requirements.

• Process and monitor customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records.

The salary range is targeted at 85 to 95K base. The benefits include medical, vision, dental, 401K, vacation and paid holidays.

Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.

• Deep understanding of General Ledger management and Journal Entries.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with Month End Close activities.

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, SAP systems would be advantageous.

• Experience in Financial Modeling and Forecasting is desirable.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Must have a strong ethical standpoint and maintain confidentiality.

• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
