Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Northridge, California

Description

We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Human Resources Assistant to handle our ad hoc projects at our busy healthcare facility. This role requires a proactive, organized, and compassionate individual with exceptional people skills and understanding of HR processes and regulations. The individual will not only provide comprehensive administrative support for moderately complex HR duties but will also be responsible for additional project-based tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Support HR department in implementing various HR programs and initiatives.

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of ad hoc projects as required.

  • Work closely with the HR manager to coordinate logistical details associated with the successful execution of HR-related projects.

  • Maintaining HR data and preparing necessary reports on various HR metrics.

  • Assisting in the recruitment process – from job postings, coordination with hiring managers, scheduling interviews, to onboarding new hires.

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Conducting regular audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

  • Assisting in staff training and development activities.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field.

  • At least one year of HR experience in a healthcare setting, or a similar role involving the management of multiple projects.

  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for generating reports and presentations.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while adhering to deadlines.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
