Robert Half Director of Philanthropy in Norwalk, Ohio
Description We are inviting applications for the role of Director of Philanthropy based in Norwalk, Ohio. The role involves overseeing our philanthropic endeavors and ensuring operational excellence within the foundation. The Director will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction, developing comprehensive fundraising programs, and maximizing philanthropic support for our mission.
Responsibilities:
• Provide administrative leadership to steer the strategic direction and operational management of the foundation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive fundraising programs to maximize philanthropic support.
• Administer and direct the initiation of annual, capital, endowment, planned giving, and special programs and events to meet the objectives of the foundation's strategic plan.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit major and planned gifts, building relationships with other foundations, corporations, individuals, and community organizations for donor activation.
• Be the primary spokesperson for driving awareness of the Foundation’s mission to various audiences, including community constituents, staff, and our community.
• Oversee event planning including budget responsibility, location sourcing, coordination of staffing, invite list management, and vendor coordination.
• Provide regular reports on progress toward annual and quarterly goals to senior leadership and the foundation board.
• Develop strong relationships and communication with the Foundation Board of Directors; facilitate executive committee meetings and board meetings.
• Design, review and maintain operational policies, practices, and guidelines of the Foundation, presenting to the Board for input and approval.
• Work with staff to develop policies and procedures for daily operations, keep all appropriate records, and manage the entire foundation team towards goal-oriented outcomes. Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in philanthropy or related roles
• Proficient in CRM and Database management
• Experienced in EO/IR systems
• Familiarity with Facebook Insights and Google AdWords
• Proven track record in creating successful advertisements
• Demonstrated ability to increase brand awareness
• Strong background in campaign planning and collateral management
• Understanding of design controls is preferred
• Extensive knowledge of the philanthropic community and philanthropy trends
• Experience in community engagement and organizing community events
• Proven experience in securing foundation grants, government grants, and private grants
• Strong public relations skills
• Excellent donor communication, cultivation, and management skills
• Experience with donor databases and retention strategies
• Proven ability in financial stewardship
