As a Grants Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and securing funding for our client’s organization by overseeing the entire grants management process. You will be responsible for researching potential funding opportunities, developing grant proposals, budget recommendations and managing the reporting and compliance requirements associated with awarded grants. Reporting to the Controller, the Grants Manager will work closely with the finance teams, grant owners, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful acquisition and administration of grants. The Grants Manager will be responsible for managing a staff of two individuals who will be assisting with the grants management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and programs.
Collaborate with program managers to gather information and insights for grant proposals.
Develop compelling and well-structured grant proposals that meet the requirements of funding agencies.
Ensure proposals align with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
Monitor and manage the progress of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions.
Work closely with program and finance teams to track and analyze grant expenditures and deliverables.
Maintain organized records of all grant-related documents and communications.
Manage an automated tracking mechanism for each funding source to monitor budget vs actual, generate projections, propose adjustments needed with internal and external stakeholders, and generate related reporting as required by funding document.
Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to funding agencies as required.
Collaborate with program managers to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes.
Evaluate the impact of funded programs and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
Manage the preparation of accurate operational and financial reports adhering to reporting deadlines including within the finance department.
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funding agencies and donors.
Serve as the primary point of contact for grant-related inquiries and communications.
Manage a regular communication schedule with internal stakeholders to review progress in achieving financial and program goals and working collaboratively to develop any necessary corrective action plans.
Manage communications with people outside the organization including Federal and State agencies assuring follow-up on proposals and receipt of timely payments.
Monitor and analyze budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with policies and determine successful execution of program financial goals by term end.

Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in grant writing and contract management
Supervisory experience is required.
Strong understanding of grant regulations and compliance.
Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
Proficient in MS Excel
