State and Local Income Tax Manager

Are you looking to join a healthy, global corporation and be part of a large tax team? If so, our client is looking to hire a skilled State and Local Income Tax Manager to their team. If you are hired you will be reporting to a Senior Manager and be responsible for:

• Managing the state income and franchise tax compliance process.

• Help prepare and review tax provision workpapers (ASC 740)

• Analyze, research, and record tax positions for the corporation regarding state income and franchise tax returns

• Oversee state income tax and local governmental audits

• Support the organization, company and team with continuous improvement and help to identify tax saving opportunities

• You and your team will be asked to research and provide analysis on the impacts of state tax around mergers and acquisitions and other transactions

• Identify changes to state tax law and assess how it impacts this corporate and advise senior leadership for best in class tax planning.

Requirements

Are you looking for a growth company? Do you possess 5 or more year's of corporate state and local income tax experience (SALT) and looking for the next step in your career? For consideration you will need the following job requirements: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, a CPA, or MST, possess 5 or more years of progressive experience in a tax department with direct working experience in the areas of corporate, multi-state income tax, and have experience with tax provisions, and some exposure to property tax.
