Robert Half Senior Corporate Tax Accountant in Oak Brook, Illinois
Description
We are seeking a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team in OAK BROOK, Illinois, operating within the Real Estate & Property industry. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the management of the company's tax assessments, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the accurate and timely filing of corporate tax returns while adhering to relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Liaising with tax authorities and providing support during tax audits to resolve issues.
• Assisting in the preparation and review of income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740.
• Overseeing the maintenance of tax balances on general ledger.
• Developing tax strategies to assist the company in becoming more tax efficient.
• Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual tax reports.
• Identifying areas of tax risk and proposing solutions to mitigate those risks.
• Conducting complex tax research projects for a variety of business initiatives.
• Providing tax planning and consulting to all company departments as needed.
• Leading, managing, and training members of the tax accounting team.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate tax accounting role, preferably within the real estate and property industry.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in corporate income tax preparation and compliance.
• Deep understanding and application of ASC 740 accounting standards.
• Proven ability to prepare and file corporate tax returns.
• Knowledge and experience with federal income tax regulations and reporting requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• CPA designation or Master's degree in Taxation is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with tax software and accounting systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
