Description

We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team in OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois. You will be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of the database for our enterprise application data model. Your role also extends to database administration tasks, both on-premises and on the Azure Cloud platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in working in the database administration industry.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing the database for the enterprise application data model.

• Maintaining database procedures, methodologies, and standards across application teams.

• Performing database promotions to all servers in accordance with Service Level Agreements.

• Providing necessary production problem resolutions to support server uptime goals.

• Assisting with SQL Server upgrades to the Enterprise.

• Handling login and security maintenance tasks.

• Monitoring database performance and taking appropriate actions based on results.

• Supporting application development teams by providing tables, constraints, and triggers.

• Creating logical and physical data model diagrams using 3rd party tools.

• Performing SQL Server installations and upgrades.

• Supporting Disaster Recovery tests.

• Adhering to the organization's database standards, guidelines, and T-SQL coding techniques for optimal performance.

Requirements • Proficiency in Linux Technologies is a must-have for effective database management.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure for cloud-based database solutions.

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server for handling and storing data.

• Proficiency in MySQL to ensure efficient database administration.

• Strong skills in Optimization to enhance the performance of the databases.

• Experience in AB Testing to ensure the effectiveness of database changes.

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies to ensure data safety and recovery.

• Skills in Cluster Analysis for efficient data segmentation.

• Proficiency in Configuration Management for maintaining system consistency.

• Previous experience in Database Administration is required.

• Familiarity with Azure SQL Database for cloud-based database management.

• Experience in Microsoft Power BI for effective data visualizations.

• Knowledge of Databricks for big data processing and analysis.

• Familiarity with Azure Databricks for a unified analytics platform.
