Sr. Accountant to join our team in OAKBROOK TERRACE, Illinois. This role will require the candidate to support various teams in general accounting duties including revenue and project accounting. Your main responsibilities will include preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and assessing and documenting the appropriate accounting treatment for new transaction. This does have excellent benefits including a pension and bonus structure. This is a hybrid position

Responsibilities:
• Leadership and ability to interact cross functionally
Support various accounting teams to ensure all financial operations are running smoothly
• Monthly close process
• Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate records
• Assess and document the appropriate accounting treatment for new transactions
• Collaborate with different business areas to ensure all accounting needs are met
• Assist in the rotation of duties to provide support where needed
• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Utilize SAP for various accounting tasks
• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• month-end close process
Requirements
• Minimum of 4 - 8 plus years of experience
Large corporate accounting experience or mid to large size CPA firm experience.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and knowledge of ERP system.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or on a CPA track is preferred.
