Description
A respected law firm in the East Bay, California, is seeking an experienced Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, handling a variety of labor and employment litigation matters and providing high-quality legal services to clients. As a Labor and Employment Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the litigation process, from pre-litigation through trial or settlement. You will join a collaborative team dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes for clients in labor and employment disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
Represent clients in labor and employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, and other employment-related issues.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
Manage discovery processes, including the preparation and review of discovery materials.
Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
Develop case strategies and provide strategic legal advice to clients.
Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and effective case management.
Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in California.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor and employment litigation.
Strong understanding of California labor and employment laws.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Professional demeanor and commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
