Robert Half Bilingual Spanish HR Assistant in Oakland, California
Description
We are seeking a highly capable, motivated, and dedicated bilingual Spanish HR Assistant to support our Human Resources department. The candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish to manage our diverse workforce effectively. As part of the role, you will assist in functions related to recruitment, staffing, compliance, employee relations, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the recruitment process by creating job descriptions, advertising positions, screening resumes, scheduling and performing interviews.
Aid in employee onboarding and orientation to promote a positive company culture.
Respond to employee inquiries and problems, providing advice and guidance.
Prepare and maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation in compliance with HR regulations and best practices.
Manage HR databases, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee data.
Help in administering benefits, performance appraisal, and training programs.
Assist in developing HR policies and procedures.
Handle translation tasks during meetings, paperwork, and official documents to facilitate effective and clear communication.
Cooperate and liaise with external vendors and consultants for various HR projects as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
Proven experience in an HR Assistant role, HR Administrative role, or similar, preferably in a multicultural environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
Proficient in using HR Management Systems and MS Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment law, especially in relation to bilingual communication.
High degree of cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with a cooperative, positive attitude.
