Description

Robert Half has a fantastic opportunity for a talented Desktop Support Analyst! This Desktop Support Analyst role is in the retail industry, where you will be responsible for providing excellent customer-first technology support for all systems, devices, and infrastructure across corporate, stores, and distribution centers. This Desktop Support Analyst position is a contract to hire opportunity and is located in Alameda Ca.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technology support for all systems, devices, and infrastructure across various locations.

• Respond proactively to Level 1 & 2 tickets, incidents, and continuous improvement projects.

• Support and coordinate the escalation of L3 support work with other tech teams and third parties.

• Troubleshoot device connectivity and network issues and collaborate with network engineering for advanced troubleshooting and infrastructure improvements.

• Triage daily support requests and respond to service disruptions and major incidents within defined SLAs.

• Participate in on-call shift schedules to ensure critical technical support is always available.

• Comply with the Technology team processes, policies, and procedures.

• Monitor and maintain hardware, platforms, integrations, applications, servers, and devices.

• Ensure proper hardware/software configuration, maintenance, security compliance, monitoring, and patching.

• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and optimization of efficiencies.

• Document procedures, runbooks, user guides, and contribute to shared knowledge base.

• Resolve incidents and requests related to various systems and applications, including but not limited to Mail Application/Office 365 issues, Client/Server Connectivity issues, File Restores, Remote Access incidents, and Password Resets.

• Provide support of Active Directory such as add/remove users, password resets, and Group Policy application.

• Interface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device Management (MDM).

• Partner with L3 to instrument, monitor, and alert Production systems to proactively identify issues before reported.

• Creation and administration of user accounts on all group technology supported systems.

• Contact and assist in management of third-party vendors for escalations.

• Manage backlog tickets, including ticket review and follow up overall Service Desk ticket.

• Maintain confidentiality when onboarding/offboarding users.

• Support and mentor L1 team members.

• Be responsible for other duties as assigned within the scope of the Support Team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar within the retail industry.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Familiarity with Active Directory.

• Knowledge of computer hardware and its troubleshooting.

• Experience in configuration management.

• Demonstrated ability in managing deployments.

• Skilled in providing deskside support.

• Understanding of DHCP and DNS.

• Experience with POS - Point of Sale systems.

• Knowledge of Multi-Factor Authentication.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Information Technology or related field is required

.
