Description
Are you interested in hearing about a new hybrid Finance Manager/Controller position in the East Bay? Robert Half has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to take responsibility for accounting and finance for this growing Software company. This direct hire Finance Manager position is located in the East Bay, but will work remote 4 days/week and in office 1 day/week. You might be a good fit for this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and support the CFO with the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Accounting
This person will oversee everything accounting related
Implement processes and workflows
Handle all GL, light AP/AR
Responsible for month-end close
Establish Investor & Management reporting processes
Vision: grow into the company’s Controller, build out the accounting department (hire staff in the future)
Budget and Forecasting
Assist with the design and oversee effective, consolidated budget model
Assist in annual budgeting process and work with functional areas by providing meaningful data
Collaborate with the Corporate Accounting team to manage and improve cash flow forecasting process
Financial Analysis
Provide analysis on key metrics as well as actual financial results vs. budget and prior year for the review with internal stakeholders
Support and advise senior management with insightful ad hoc financial analysis supporting operational efficiencies and driving profitable growth
Refine financial models to evaluate new business opportunities
Requirements
You’re a Great Fit for the Role if You have:
Hands-on experience leading Accounting at a start-up (ideally Accounting or Finance) and developing policies/procedures
Experience from SaaS or Financial Services
Strong Technical Skills
Finance experience (financial reporting, financial systems management; budgeting and planning, working capital and cash flow management)
Public accounting and/or CPA preferred
Great attitude: someone who is happy to be in an individual contributor role, wants to build the accounting functions, and is happy to help the CFO wherever needed in terms of Accounting and Finance. Will have a chance to build a team in the future.
