Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Assist accounts payable with vendor invoices and disbursement filing and with A/P invoice matching & filing
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned
Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers
Perform general accounting tasks, such as G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, and other ad hoc projects
Utilize a number of sources to create statements and reports
Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances Requirements - Ability to multitask effectively
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of Paper Filing
General familiarity with Research Analysis
Account analysis experience highly preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Background working with account reconciliation
Adeptness in Scanning Documents
Practical knowledge of account reconciliation
Deep understanding of Database Backup
Expertise in Accounts Receivable (AR)
Payroll experience highly desired
Database Administration experience
Experience with high volume data entry
Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system
1+ years of accounting experience required
