Robert Half IT Asset Management Specialist in Oakland, California
Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Desktop Support Analyst in Oakland, California. In this role, you will be tasked with managing assets, working on end life systems, training on forensic tools, and dealing with equipment from term employees.
Responsibilities
• Manage a backlog of tasks including asset management of approximately 240 laptops
• Utilize forensic tools, with training provided, to conduct necessary tasks and investigations
• Take responsibility for the maintenance of end life systems, estimated at around 200 in number
• Handle equipment from term employees, ensuring their return and appropriate management
• Utilize skills in Computer Hardware, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management to perform tasks efficiently
• Ensure proper asset management, keeping all hardware and software accounted for and updated
• Handle any necessary backup technologies, ensuring data is secure and accessible when needed
• Utilize Configuration Management skills to streamline processes and maintain system stability
• Use Active Directory skills to manage networked resources, increasing efficiency and security
• Employ Apple Devices expertise to support users and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
Requirements • Proficiency in Computer Hardware, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues effectively
• Solid knowledge and experience with Dell Technologies, including server systems and storage hardware
• Experience in managing Active Directory, including user and group management
• Familiarity with Apple Devices, including troubleshooting and maintenance
• Expertise in Backup Technologies, ensuring data protection and recovery in case of system failures
• Strong understanding of Configuration Management, with the ability to manage, organize, and control software and hardware configurations
• Experience in Asset Management, ensuring the tracking and maintenance of all company hardware and software assets Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
