Robert Half Litigation Paralegal in Oakland, California
Description
An established Oakland law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal with expertise in Class Action lawsuits to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to manage complex, multi-party litigation and assist attorneys throughout all stages of class action lawsuits, from discovery through trial.
Key Responsibilities:
Support attorneys in handling Class Action litigation, including coordinating and managing large volumes of discovery and case materials.
Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
Oversee discovery processes, including document production, interrogatories, depositions, and electronic discovery (ESI).
Organize trial preparation materials, including trial exhibits, witness lists, and case summaries.
Communicate with class members, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive case summaries, reports, and timelines.
Assist attorneys in settlement preparation and mediation sessions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal with a focus on Class Action litigation.
Strong knowledge of California state and federal court procedures, including e-filing systems.
Proficiency in managing ESI and document review platforms, such as Relativity, Concordance, or Summation.
Experience in handling multi-party discovery and trial preparation.
Expertise in legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
