Description
Our client is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. The Medical Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone who visits our clinic. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a genuine desire to help people.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
Answer and manage incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and directing calls to the appropriate department
Check patients in and out, verifying and updating necessary information
Maintain and manage patient records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential
Handle patient inquiries and provide information about our services
Process payments and insurance information
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure patient flow is efficient
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in office administration or related field is a plus
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with computers and familiar with medical software systems (e.g., EHR/EMR systems)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism and calm
Friendly and compassionate demeanor, with a patient-centric approach
