Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Patient Access Manager in Oakland, California. The role is in the healthcare industry and will involve managing diverse staff within a 24/7 operation, overseeing patient accounting metrics, and implementing process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage diverse staff in a union environment across multiple facilities

• Monitor and control the daily flow of preadmission and admission information and activity

• Oversee patient accounting metrics such as productivity, cash and DNFB reports

• Collaborate with various hospital DNFB owners to expedite resolution of edits for billing

• Manage staff performance, provide on-going feedback, address problems, and provide training

• Implement process improvements and assist in troubleshooting billing and collection procedural issues

• Conduct special research related to the finance and accounting functions

• Review workplace environments to maintain safe, efficient, and functional areas for staff and the public

• Provide remediation plans when necessary to meet budget targets

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience in Training, Procedures, and Policy implementation

• Ability to conduct Research and understand Budget Processes

• Knowledge of Cash Activity management and Finance principles

• Familiarity with medical Billing procedures and ability to Troubleshoot issues

• Understanding of Collection Processes within a healthcare setting

• Fluency in English Language

• Experience working in a Facility setting

• Ability to improve Productivity through effective Practices

• Knowledge of Metric Reporting methods

• Excellent Communication Skills

• Strong Time Management and Prioritization abilities

• Experience with Process Improvement strategies

• Understanding of general business Principles.
