Would you be interested in this new Senior Auditor position within the Accounting Department primarily focused on SOX 404 Compliance and SEC Reporting at a successful publicly traded company in downtown Oakland? This Senior SEC/SOX Auditor will be working a hybrid schedule working 2 days/week in the office, 3 days/home. Primary responsibilities will be assisting with: (i) SOX 404 internal controls compliance testing; (ii) SEC Reporting including the preparation of Form 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other SEC related filing; and (iii) other financial reporting and compliance related special projects.

The position provides a strong foundation to develop a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the external reporting department within a publicly traded company and reports to the Director of Internal Audit.

· Assist in the preparation of Form 8-Ks, 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other SEC related filings

· Perform SOX 404 internal control risk assessment, planning, walkthrough and testing

· Identify opportunities for internal control improvements and communicate recommendations

· Provide assistance to the external auditors in the performance of their activities

· Perform financial statements review procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of Accounting/public accounting experience working with publicly traded companies (someone from Big 4 or national CPA firm)

• CPA certified or in process preferred (if you don’t have CPA yet, when do you plan on getting it)
