Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Ocala, Florida
Description
Our client, a dynamic and expanding manufacturing company, is in search of an accomplished and meticulous Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller. Having seen remarkable growth in recent years, they are eager to bring on an adept accounting professional to support their exciting trajectory. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in a manufacturing setting, reporting directly to the Controller and playing an essential role in the organization's accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing daily accounting operations within a small team (3-4 in the accounting department) - including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ensuring accounting activities align with legal, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.
• Developing, processing, and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results for each department.
• Assisting the Controller in budgeting and forecasting.
• Providing strategic analysis to enhance production efficiencies.
• Conducting cost analysis as needed.
• Preparing quarterly and yearly tax documentation.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is desired but not a requirement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems, with knowledge of Epicor ERP highly desired.
• Ability to handle all accounting operations, including financial reporting.
• High degree of organization and attention to detail.
Additional Skills:
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of general business practices and procedures.
• Experience working closely with senior management.
• Possesses personal qualities such as humility, integrity, and tenacity.
