Description
Our client in Government is seeking an organized, reliable Accounting Technician. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in public accounting, with excellent organization skills, and an ability to manage time effectively.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with preparation of the budget.
Implementing financial policies and procedures.
Performing account reconciliation.
Accounting for cash receipts, property, equipment, and materials.
Responding to customer inquiries.
Administration of accounts receivable and payable.
Requirements
Proven work experience as an Accounting Technician in a government setting.
Excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).
Familiarity with accounting software.
Knowledge of financial data analysis and forecasting.
Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.
Time-management abilities.
