Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role is set in the financial industry where you will be tasked with various responsibilities related to billing and data entry.
Responsibilities:
• Process incoming billing documents and ensure accuracy
• Maintain and update customer financial records
• Handle data entry tasks for all financial transactions
• Resolve accounting discrepancies promptly and efficiently
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports
• Collaborate with the financial team to ensure smooth operation of all finance matters
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payment issues
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy of all data entry work. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or a similar role in the finance sector
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Excel
• Familiarity with accounting procedures and principles
• Exceptional data entry skills, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion
• Strong numerical skills and an understanding of basic bookkeeping
• Experience in billing, invoicing, and tracking payments
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize tasks
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent; BSc/BA in accounting or finance is a plus.
