Description

Robert Half's Full Charge Bookkeeper position is something you might be interested in. Based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity. The most successful candidate for this position will be able to establish and maintain the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives, as well as handle all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, including the preparation of financial statements.

This role is 100% ONSITE in OKC!

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

  • Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

  • Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time

  • Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents

  • Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows

  • Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions

  • Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

    Requirements - Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

  • Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

  • Experience with payroll preferred

  • A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

  • Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

    • Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience desired
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
